Violin

When you play a violin piece, you are a storyteller, and you’re telling a story.” Joshua Bell.

The Violin is a string instrument which has four strings and is played with a bow. The word violin comes from the Middle Latin word vitula, meaning stringed instrument. The strings are usually tuned to the notes G, D, A, and E. It is held between the left collar bone (near the shoulder) and the chin. Different notes are made by pressing with fingers on the strings with the left hand while bowing with the right. The peculiarity of this string instrument is that it has no frets or other markers on the fingerboard. It is the smallest and highest-pitched of the string instrument family. Violins are important instruments in a wide variety of musical genres – initially prominent in the Western classical tradition and in many varieties of folk music, however they are also frequently used in country music, jazz, and even rock music. a string instrument which has four strings and is played with a bow.[1] The strings are usually tuned to the notes G, D, A, and E.[2] It is held between the left collar bone (near the shoulder) and the chin. BENEFITS

It takes years of practice to become a good violinist. A beginner will start with pieces and or exercises that do not require precise or complicated technique in right or left hand. The violinist has to learn to put the fingers in exactly the right place so that the music is “in tune” and so it increases concentration and discipline.
